In between scheduled maintenance, which should be performed by trained service technicians, you should run test samples through your metal detectors on a regular basis. Should your inspection system fail to detect the contaminant, verify that your settings are correct and re-test. Should your metal detector continues to fail to detect your test samples, you should schedule a service call immediately. Test samples are available in various formats, contaminants and sizes. Test samples are available in ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel and in the following formats: Test cards, sticks, wands, plugs and discs.
